The Life-Long Predator
Fear is the predator lurking in the shadows
A fiend hiding behind every tree,
Like a swift and stealthy owl,
It flies in for the kill...
Happiness eludes the prey's joyous senses,
Fear's tendrils paralyze the potent,
Shattering an unblemished mirror
With its black metallic beak...
Feeling its icy claws penetrate the glee,
Its void eyes staring into petrified souls,
Mutilating without the slightest touch
It kills with the utmost ease...
Stalking even in the midst of company,
Fear is waiting for its perfect moment,
It's patience outlasting the fabric of time,
The life-long predator...
